What are the best cell phone plan comparison web sites? What web sites are out there that compares cell phone plans without being too biased one way or the other?
Time to upgrade. Which is the best cell phone plan, provider & phone? Any comparison websites? I'm in southeast Michigan if that matters. Require around 700 anytime minutes, 600 texts... Bells and whistles are nice but probably not so necessary. Are flip phones not cool anymore? I kinda like the pull-out keyboard for texting, but like to flip too. Just lookin for some feedback. Thanks.
Is there a website that allows you to pick and choose features from a cell phone plan? I am wanting to get a cell phone plan that allows me to get the features I need, with extra flair, while being as inexpensive as possible while meeting the necessary requirements. Is there a comparison website that allows me to compare the plans and decide which plan is best?
What is the BEST prepaid cell phone plan? Comparing prepaid companies (in the US) - how much per minute, cheap phone (I don't care if it's super fancy or anything), the best plans. I can't find a comparison chart or anything. Oh, and I don't want Virgin Mobile... and it'd be best if I could buy minutes/card at a store as there won't be a credit card available.
better cell phone plan/company/phone? my plan with cingular is almost up. i really dont know if i want to stay with them. i really think it is too expensive. all i want is unlimited text and nights/weekends and rollover. i dont need the fancy stuff. i also want to keep my same phone number. i keep hearing about sprint and tmobile and verizon. im leaning towards tmobile. i have had few dropped calls with att but i think it is a phone issue more than a company issue. nokia has always been good with that for me. but i need a new phone because it doesnt have blue tooth. if you answer... please give specifics about what phone is good for this basic stuff, price for plans and phone, etc. i still dont see the best comparisons online for the reception and plans and phones. very inconsistent. maybe i just have to settle for being disappointed one way or another?
Can I get a Japanese Cell phone? I'm going to college in Tokyo for the next year so I'm going to get a cell phone plan when I'm there. Is there any phone that i can get a sim card for when i come back to the us and use it over here? The Japanese technology is just so much more advanced i dont wanna bother with these crappy american phones, theyre practically like paperweights in comparison. Maybe Vodafone or docomo or something?
What do you use the internet for on your cell phone? I am planning on getting the internet for my phone, specifically the everything data plan from Sprint. I am planning on using the internet for when I am out and need to get info on things like movie times, item price comparisons, alerts, random info, weather, on the spot planning, emailing, directions, etc. What are some of the things you use your net access on your cell phone for?
How much do data and voice cell phone plans cost in Japan, where cellular service is ubiquitous? So I hear that just about everybody in Japan has a kick-ass cell phone with awesome data service. Since I can't read Japanese, I was just wondering what a standard cell phone plan with unlimited data and a reasonable of amount minutes costs over there? Mostly I am asking because I want to see if us USA consumers are being hoodwinked by the telecom companies, or if they charge a reasonable fee. Since they are obviously a cartel (how about them all raising SMS fees in unison) the only real price comparison can be done by looking at foreign companies.
Why is US Cell Phone Service so much more expensive? The cost of US cell phone providers for a plan is so much more expensiver than say a plan in Asia. Let me elaborate...My uncle in Taiwan pays about $30 USD a month for 6 cell phone lines. But in Taiwan/Asia you have to buy your phones where they average about $100-500 USD for a phone. Now most plans in the US is you sign a 2 year contract that comes with a phone with a rebate. Now lets say in Taiwan we get a phone for $250bucks + 24 months (2 year contract in US) * $10 (per month avg; lets say somebody talks more)= $490 for 2 years. Now in US say the most pop. plan is $40 bucks a month with a phone deal thats free after rebate. thats 40 * 24 = $960. That's a whooping $500 dollar diff. I know there are some flaws from this comparison such as line activation fees and taxes. But as you can see I don't understand the BIG DIFFERENCE in cell phone costs.
Nokia Cell Phone Comparison (6103, 6133)? I am planning to upgrade my phone soon, and I'm looking between the Nokia 6103 and the Nokia 6133. Which one would be better to go with? Does anyone have any complaints about either? First hand experience would be greatly appreciated. I have review the specs, I'm just wondering if there's something that T-mobile might have conveniently left out.
Prepaid Cell Phone Plans? I want to know a comparison between the companies and which has the best deal. I also want to know how much texting would be and how much calling would be if you had a mostly texting plan.
Cell comparison? Is there anywhere I can compare cell plans and phones...this is a basic plan for two people...one who doesn't talk much...one who would like never to get off the phone.
Is there any way to "port" one's cell phone number to the same carrier? We're out of our contract with T-Mobile, and would like to keep our cell phone numbers. But the upgrade deals (inc the upgrade FEE) T-Mobile has for its current customers suck in comparison to signing up as new customers with them. Is there any way to keep our current cell phone numbers but be able to access their plans as "new" customers? Thanks for any help!
Can someone help me finding cell phone stores in San Francisco? Need to go to few stores to make comparison to buy prepaid plans.
What cell phone decision should I make? This is my current situation: My phone with At&t is now effed up, having taken out the battery and putting it back in just for it to be frozen. I think my one-year warranty with my phone is already up, I just have to wait [i think] until October for my two-year contract to be up and to upgrade my phone. Today I went to my local At&t store and they said to call a warranty number in order to get a refurbished phone. My questions are, what do I do if I do have the warranty or if I don't have the warranty? And if I do, and if I get the refurbished phone, do I just have to wait until October, or is it another two years? To add on to my situation, I have a MetroPCS phone. It was found while I was walking to my friend's house, dead. I don't have the charger for it or anything, and i'm pretty sure the person has already closed their number/account on that phone. My final question is, should I get a newly refurbished phone, or take a chance with Metro? And i'd also like a comparison between Metro and At&t, like phone plans and general service between the two. [Btw, i'm a crazy fan of texting... haha.] Should I go Metro or stay At&t? Thank you (=
Victim of Cell phone FRAUD ? Me and my husband did...since last year when I got my new Verizon phone, I started receiving these text messages that I thought were just advertisements for some match-making thing...the texts said something about "soulmate love" and $9.99, but I always deleted those as soon as I received them and never, ever replied or texted back anything. I never thought anything else about it until recently when my husband (who pays the bill online) was comparison shopping the plans so we can upgrade... and he found that we have been charged for over a year for these texts I'd been receiving. I never received any services...no horoscopes, no whatever they are...but we were charged all this time, and it was $20.00 per month and once it was $40 in addition to our normal cell phone bill. He never though much about our bill being $20 more...he thought I'd been texting my Mom a lot (who lives in another state) and he just paid the bills and was done with it. Last December, it was $40 more and he did mention to me about it being a lot higher but I told him I didn't understand and that I had not been texting her much at all. So, by accident he found out that we've paid about $400 more than we ever should...for services we never signed up for or agreed to !! We complained to Verizon and they eventually credited our account for $60 (they could only go back 3 months, they said) and we filed a FRAUD complaint with them. They also gave us the number to contact the company charging these fees, which is MOBILE MESSENGER, who also used names like soulmatelove.com and MMTXT that appears on your bill. They're all the same company and my husband researched the internet and found that the man that is behind this whole scam, and who is cheating tons of people around the WORLD out of money and wasting their time, as well...because they have to fight with their service carrier to get their money back, or some of it...he is living in Australia and there have been lawsuits against him in the past or maybe currently, I hope. He is a millionaire now because of his LOW-LIFE way of doing business, because he's too sorry to get a REAL JOB like most other people ! There are many class-action lawsuits going on because of these fraudulent text charges and we should all be aware and watch your cell phone bills carefully. If you find that you're having this same problem, DO something about it and complaint, file a fraud report, etc. I found this information on the man who supposedly owns this company--do with it what you may : If you'd like to fight back, send complaints to Mobile Messenger in Australia: Eugeni Zhenya Tsvetnenko 19 Hawkins St Mt Pleasant 6153 Australia 0 9364 6646 melissa.valenzuela@mobilemessenger.com david.young@mobilemessenger.com.au or Mobile Messenger in Santa Monica, California: Michael Pajaczkowski 2700 Colorado Ave #450, Santa Monica, CA 90404 mobilemessenger.com CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT VERIZON WIRELESS AND OTHER CARRIERS ARE ALLOWING THIS TO HAPPEN ??? Knowing that there are all of these lawsuits going on and unauthorized charges...and yet they let these THIEVES continue to use THEM to do their billing !! They must make a profit on the transactions, so they are just as guilty UNTIL DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT AND STOP DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS. Have you had similar experiences and if so, please share them here on Yahoo Answers...maybe one day we can do something to stop this junk from happening anymore. Thanks for any input you have !

Switching cell phone carriers. need helpful feedback.? My mom and I are on a plan with AT&T and we're looking to swich to something a little bit cheaper. We've never had a problem with their service or anything, but it's just a little bit more than what we'd like to pay.. We are thinking between Verizon, Sprint, or U.S. Cellular. What do you think? Or what is your experience with any of these? I don't know much about the price comparisons so helpful feedback would be great. Any advice, tips, and opinions are much appreciated. Thanks!.
Which cell phone is a better deal? Ok well tell me which one is a better deal. I am planning to get a new cellphone so tell me which one you think is a better deal. I have t-mobile so the phones i am talking about are from t-mobile. The Sidekick for $99 ( i will show links) or the Samsung Behold for $199. Which is a better deal for the money. Yeah the behold is expensive but it is it worth it? Please help I need answers fast. What is a better deal? Here is what i look for in phones : Camera, Email, Messaging, Games, Swivel or touch screen, and music. I don't care for 3G. Also i am a young person. (pre teen) so i am not a business person or anything. Please help!!! :) Samsung Behold: http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/phones/Cell-Phone-Detail.aspx?cell-phone=Samsung-Behold-Espresso Sidekick: http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/phones/Cell-Phone-Detail.aspx?cell-phone=T-Mobile-Sidekick Here they are in comparison (look at this link!!!): http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/phones/Compare.aspx?devices=0bc43a5f-3dc0-4569-9882-0639a76d2865,c72a6f5a-72b6-47c0-81b7-691e66861642&manufacturer= Help and answer. Apple iPhone or HTC Aria? Both have their definite plusses and minuses. I'm really torn, I would buy the iPhone for the better storage space, but the Android OS is better than the Apple's, and there is no customization on the iPhone. And let's be honest, the iPhone is only so much more because it has "Apple" on it. http://www.wirefly.com/learn/resources/cell-phone-comparison/htc-aria-vs-apple-iphone-4/ Can someone who has either tell me what you like and don't like about the phones? Also if anyone can tell me how much they pay monthly for everything total in their plan that would be a tremendous help too. Thanks!
Speaktoit vs Siri Comparison? OK so I'll have nothing to do with apple, first and foremost. And the only thing I like about the new phone is Siri. SO i'm guessing from some research that for an android phone, speaktoit is the closest alternative? What are the major differences involved? No need to type it all in here if you know of a good website that compares the two. I find a lot of sites talking about vlingo, siri, speaktoit. But none of them really truly are offering a side by side comparison. Kinda like a chart you'd find on your cell phone providers plan pamphlet. PROBABLY asking for too much but just think it'd be nice. OK so what are your opinions on the assistants and which would you use? Siri isn't an option as it is only apple, so siri aside, what would be a close next? Thanks in advance!
Anyone else receiving weird text messages on your cell phones and later found that you've been charged ? Mobile internet browser for reasonable price - what are my options? I live in Canada and travel frequently in the US. I am considering an iPad but the price tag is a little high for my liking. I've looked at some of the internet tablets 7"-10" in the $100-250 price range (i.e. Archos 7 8GB Home Tablet). I understand the 3g convenince has value but usually a wifi can be found. I was actually considering using my son's PSP but typing is too cumbersome. I would like to be able to access things like google maps, internet banking, weather, shopping (for price comparisons) - you tube etc. would be a bonus. I don't have a cell phone (my spouse does) b/c I don't want the monthly bill so adding on to a cell plan is not an option. Any advice on the pros/cons of specific models or what to look for? Maybe there are other alternatives I am not thinking of? What am I getting for the huge difference in price of some of these "gadgets"?
Is iPod touch 3rd generation any superior to iphone 3GS in its functionality? Originally, I planned to buy a 3rd generation iPod touch 32G. However, yesterday, since my old cell phone is completely gone and have no cell phone contract, I released an iphone 3GS instead. Since I do not have the newest generation iPod touch (I played around with my friend’s iPod touch 32G once) to make comparison, I am wondering if the newest generation iPod touch’s functionality is any superior to my new iphone 3GS, of course I am not referring to its storage.
Deciding between AT&T cell phones? I'm planning on buying a new cellphone this summer but I can't seem to decide between 3. Is the Samsung Solstice, Samsung Mythic, or Blackberry under AT&T better and why? The thing about the Samsung phones is that they have wap and I'm afraid that trying to find something on the internet is going to be frusturating. However, I find the Blackberry to be large in size in comparison and would be very cumbersome to carry around.
I know I am beathing this to death, I want opinions; would you be mad if you rec. this letter from your MIL? Dear Lisa; I think communication and cooperation is nonexistent between you and me. I feel that everything I say and do is misinterpreted, resulting in ill feelings between us. Using Joe as a go between prevents open-communication and prevents accountability for how our actions are interpreted and treated. Literally, every time I enter your home, Joe immediately tells me my visit is a strain on your marriage. You make other plans so I am left alone at your home, or you demand I find somewhere else to stay. The only reason I come to visit is to see you, Joe and the children. If I am not welcome in your home and not allowed to see any of you while I am there, I may as well stay home. I am truly sorry that I resent you comparing time I am alone in your house to time you spend with your parents in Disney World, on cruises, in Canada visiting your extended family and at the beach, going out to dinner and just hanging out with them. If the shoe were on the other foot, I know your parents would feel the same way I do. Sitting alone in your house or somewhere else in NJ is NOT the same as being on trips and hanging out with you and your family. Also, literally every time Joe rides with me in the car, you call him on the cell phone and talk the entire time. Joe informs me we must stop whatever our plans are. You have the right to tell Joe what to do and I agree he must do what it takes to make you happy, but that should not include ignoring me and telling me your friends and family take full presence over plans previously made with me. I feel your wrath with confusion; I do not want to argue with you or Joe, and I really have no choice but to let Joe turn around and run to you for forgiveness, even though there is nothing to be forgiven for. I do feel that Joe and you should respect me enough to inform me that plans made with me cause resentment and will not be carried out, hence I should not get my hopes up. I admit I feel envious that you are allowed to spend time (go to lunch or out for the afternoon) with your mom and not be on the cell phone with Joe the entire time. Please accept my apology for feeling hurt and humiliated that I cannot be part of Joe’s life while you are allowed to be very active with your mom. I am truly happy you are so very close with your mom. I used to be the same way with Joe. He now belongs to you and I know as the mother-in-law I have to let go. I do not want to be the cause of your friction with Joe. I do not want a score card kept for the time spent with my grandchildren and then be told that the reason you take vacations with your parents and are allowed to go out to dinner with them is because I am always around. We both know this is not true. I feel like you are mocking me when you make such comparisons. The little time I have with my grandchildren is not close to the freedom your parents have to come and go as they please in your home, and all the events you spend with them. I agree it is none of my business what you do with your parents, but since you are demanding Joe cut ties with me, I am entitled to be hurt as a mother. You will feel hurt if any of your daughters marry men that require all ties with you be undermined and cut. I am entitled to an honest answer when I invite you to do something with me. A simple no is fine. I deserve better than you having me plan and prepare for our time together and then you argue with Joe until he breaks the plans. I do feel hurt that I cannot be part of my son’s his family’s life, but I respect that you are the most important person in Joe’s life and you simple do not want me around. I deserve to be informed that I am wasting my time coming to visit, when you have no intention of letting me spend time with you, Joe or the children. As much as your rejection scorns me, it is more respectful to tell me not to visit at all than having Joe tell me to stay at Joe Sr., my ex-husband’s and stay away from your home unless you feel it is okay to come there while you and Joe are not there. I admit I am jealous they you love having your mom, dad and Nancy and Allen and your mom’s relatives, but when I am there you sit in your room with a headache and you argue with Joe. Joe has made very clear to me that under no circumstances will you ever take a trip with me, because it upsets you- you feel bored and sick. The two of you argue the entire time you are forced to be at my home or doing something I suggest. When you make other plans to arrive late and leave early, these actions make me feel belittled and stupid for getting my hopes up and thinking I actually mattered. I felt resentful last Thanksgiving when Joe insisted I change my work schedule so you could spend the weekend here. He stated this is my only weekend each year to have you and the children visit, Continued: I made plans to visit the North Pole and spent $300 for groceries for that weekend. You arrived late (blaming Joel, father of Lisa’s first child, though he is flexible when plans are made with your parents) and announced you were leaving within 16 hours because your parents decided to have a big Thanksgiving party. I felt insignificant and like everything I did was a set up for you to show me how little I mean to you. This may not be your perception, but my perception of your words conflicting with your actions are painful, just as much as your loved ones would hurt if you treated them the way you treat me. Joe is yours, I get it! God help me, I don’t understand what I did to you to make you feel that you need to grind my soul into the ground with humiliation; why do you tell me you love me and then make sure all plans made with me have a spiteful twist of events? From where I stand, it seems that you enjoy breaking my heart and putting me down. Joe said you will I made plans to visit the North Pole and spent $300 for groceries for that weekend. She is a nice person, so nice she drives everyone crazy. My hushand loved his grandma, and wants his mom to be the same, but my mom feel inadequate when she is around.

Help On Purchasing A PDA/Smartphone!!!? I just can't seem to decide on which to get. I've basically narrowed it down to two: the 8525 and the Treo. I threw in the BlackJack for s**** and giggles. The 8525 looks sick, but I don't know. I'm getting hooked up, but I still want to get the most affordable and the best for my money. I'll be getting the same plan/services for any. Looking for phone, texting (including IM like AIM), and internet capabilities. In addition, with very good camera and very good music (mp3 player) capabilities. Treo $80: http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/cell-phone-details/?device=Palm%C2%AE+Treo(TM)+680&q_sku=sku970026 8525 $200: http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/cell-phone-details/?device=AT%26T+8525&q_sku=sku970003 BlackJack $100: http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/cell-phone-details/?device=Samsung+BlackJack&q_sku=sku960048 Here is a comparison of all three: http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/compare-cell-phones/?LOSGId=&_requestid=179544 Thanks.

iPhone vs Xbox 360? I know this is a weird comparison but i have a choice to make. I need a new cell phone since i broke my razr the other day plus i need a new ipod since i sold my ipod video the other day. Im 20 years old and im still under my moms T-mobile family plan with my sister and father. I think its time to branch out and get my own plan. Since i need a new phone and ipod i thought the iphone would suit me just fine. I already talked to the dealer and they said since i got good credit i don't have to make any kind of deposit. I might choose the $80 plan. But i just sold my wii so i could use a new video game system, the 360 would be the one i want. From all the sellling right now i have $545. What should i get? 360 or iphone. I also just started my new job at sears so maybe i should wait and see how that turns out b4 i get the iphone, but i already have another job that would pay barley enough to afford it. What do i do?
Ladies what would you like to add to this list of dont do at at Wedding? The day two people exchange vows may not be your special day, but it's someone's special day, so be on your best behavior -- all the way from the I -do's to the obligatory Gloria Gaynor dance marathon... Don't Be Fashionably Late As the song says, get to the church on time! Allow enough time to get to there 15 minutes early or more no matter what weather, traffic, or other acts of divine intervention pop up. Print out directions to both the ceremony and the reception (if it's at a different location). Many a wedding has been hampered by guests who got lost and showed up an hour late. Don't Produce Sound Effects While at a wedding and reception, turn off your Blackberries and cell phones, put them on vibrate, or better yet, don't even take them! Don't Talk Trash It may sound obvious, but it happens all the time. No matter how big or how loud a wedding is, things get overheard. So, be on your best and most polite behavior. No gossip about any of the other guests. No complaining out loud about anything -- whether it's the food or the long line at the ladies' room. And no comparisons to other weddings! As far as the bride and groom are concerned, this is a perfect day, and so it should be! Don't Come Bearing Gifts Whether you're planning on gifting the happy couple a Cuisinart or cold hard cash, do them a huge favor and don't bring it on the wedding day. If you do, they have to keep track of it and haul it home at the end of the night. Send the gift ahead of time, or after the actual ceremony -- at a time when they can really relax and enjoy it. Don't Dress Down Whatever you choose to wear, make the effort to look your best for the bride and groom. They'll appreciate that you got dolled or duded up for the occasion. If the invitation doesn't specify dress code, put in a friendly email or call to the bride, groom, their parents, or attendants to get more info. Black Tie means you've got to dust off that long silk dress or rent a tux. If it's an outdoor affair, there may be more leeway, but get details on the location, so you can come prepared (because it's isn't fun to be traipsing around in the sand in your stilettos!). Don't Bring Mr. or Ms. Random If you're single, choose your date carefully. If it's someone you've only been out with once, it may not be the best idea (could be awkward for you, your date, and the newlyweds). Same if it's someone you recently "sort of" broke up with. Weddings are intimate affairs and bringing in a stranger should be done with thought. Let the bride or groom know if you decide to come alone so they can seat you with other fun "ones!" And as much as you may love your kiddos, don't take them if children aren't invited. Don't Steal the Show Wedding ceremonies take all forms -- from religious to poetic, musical, or humorous. Whatever the vibe, let the bride and groom set the tone and follow their lead. If you're normally a loud, life-of-the-party type, bring it down a notch and let the wedding couple stand out. If you're a weeper, bring tissues and sit where you can sob without disturbing the I Do's. If the ceremony includes religious rituals, find out what you should do (or not do) ahead of time. Don't Pig Out If food is serve-yourself, avoid the buffet line stampede and wait until the crowd dies down. Also, avoid going back for thirds. Take a break and save room for cake! Seconds might be okay, once you've seen that everyone has eaten. If the food is served sit-down, eat what is served without requesting substitutions or omissions, unless you have a food allergy. Otherwise, pick delicately or chow down, but don't gripe that you "don't like fish." Worse comes to worst, you can hit Burger King on the way home! Don't Drag Out Skeletons If the bride blushes, it should be from pride, joy, or sheer love. Not because someone just stood up and told a humiliating story about the loser she dated in high school! Ingratiate yourself to the lady and her groom by avoiding any potentially embarrassing or juvenile behavior -- no bawdy jokes, no tales about their dating habits or exploits, no overdrinking, and no overly sexy dancing. Have fun, but don't have it at anyone else's expense. Don't Stockpile Party Favors At the end of the night, as you're saying your thank-yous and farewells, avoid the urge to hog all the super-cool (or yummy) party favors! You don't need to take some for people who weren't able to attend. You don't need extras. Take one for yourself, unless someone in the wedding party urges you to do otherwise. I like to add if your part of the bridal party please be on time and dont complain about anything! Oh yes you are right dont Get drunk before or during the wedding and make a fool od your self is a big one! I can go either way on the gift thing depends I think where and when your having it! I know all to well about the drunk thing (MIL, SIL, FIL all were drunk before the wedding and during it)
HTC pure or samsung mythic? I'm curious about which cell phone I should upgrade my shine, which was waterlogged in an accident on a kayaking trip. I've narrowed my possibilities down to two ( Iphone being beyond my price range as i believe that would be an extra 30 dollar bill a month added on to what I currently pay ) phones: the HTC pure & the Samsung Mythic. I'm an avid texter, and I've never had the capability to browse the web on a cell phone which I think would be insanely cool which is is why I was drawn to the pure in the first place. But i'm wondering if I should just spring for the iphone since I would have to pay 15 a month for a data plan for the pure. I'd like an unbiased comparison between the two, followed by any personal experience or opinion that you might have of either phones. And for that matter how much does owning an iphone, bare minimum, cost a person a month? Again i'm curious about these two phones so please don't turn this into an iphone worshiping thread delving into its many wonders and amazing features that will only end up making me want what I probably can't have even more so than I already do. Thanks in advance and best answer will get points.
Would this letter upset you if recieved from your MIL? I think communication and cooperation is nonexistent between you and me. I do not know what you want from me. I feel that whatever I say or do is misinterpreted resulting in ill feelings between us. Using Joe as a go between prevents open-communication and prevents accountability for how our actions are interpreted and treated. You make other plans so I am left alone at your home, or you demand I find somewhere else to stay. The only reason I come to visit is to see you, Joe and the children. If I am not welcome in your home and not allowed to see any of you while I am there, I may as well not visit. I am sorry that I resent you comparing time I am alone in your house to time you spend with your parents in Disney World, on cruises and at the beach, going out to dinner and just hanging out with them. You have the right to tell Joe what to do and I agree he must do what it takes to make you happy, including ignoring me and telling me your friends and family take full presence over any plans previously made with me. I still feel hurt, but I do not want to argue with you or Joe. We know this is not true. I feel like you are mocking me when you make such comparisons. The little time I have with my grandchildren is not close to the freedom your parents have to come and go as they please in your home, and all the events you spend with them. I agree it is none of my business what you do with your parents. I am entitled to an answer when I invite you to do something with me. A simple no is fine. I do feel hurt that I cannot be part of my son’s life and his family, but I respect that you are the most important person in Joe’s life and you simple do not want me around. Joe has made very clear to me that under no circumstances will you ever take a trip with me, because it upsets you- your feel bored and sick. The two of you argue the entire time you are forced to be at my home or doing something I suggested. When you make other plans to arrive late and leave early, these actions make me feel belittled and stupid for getting my hopes up. I felt resentful last Thanksgiving when Joe insisted I change my work schedule so you could spend the weekend here. He stated this is my only weekend each year to have you and the children visit, I made plans to visit the North Pole and spent $300 for groceries for that weekend. You arrived late (blaming Joel the father of her first child, though he is flexible when plans are made with your parents) and announced you were leaving within 16 hours because your parents decided to have a big Thanksgiving party. I felt insignificant and like everything I did was a set up for you can show me how little I mean to you. Joe is yours, I get it! I don’t understand what I did to you to make you feel that you need to grind my soul into the ground with humiliation; why you tell me you love me and then make sure all plans with me has a hurtful twist of events. Joe said you will not visit the North Pole with me, because you cannot afford to take a vacation, but then your parents invited you to go to Disney World for Christmas, to have you and the children to them self. And off you went, after telling me I was welcome to come and stay for Christmas. I sat alone in your home and you told me this was my quality time with my grandchildren. I should not be buying $300 - $600 worth of groceries each month to make sure you have enough food, if I am not welcome in your home and you plan to leave as soon as I get there. When I am told I am welcome,
Is this a good reason why Barak Obama should not be President? After decades of comparing Nixon to Hitler, Reagan to Hitler and Bush to Hitler, liberals have finally decided it is wrong to make comparisons to Hitler. But the only leader to whom they have applied their newfound rule of thumb is: Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. While Ahmadinejad has not done anything as starkly evil as cut the capital gains tax, he does deny the Holocaust, call for the destruction of Israel, deny the existence of gays in Iran and refuses to abandon his nuclear program despite protests from the United Nations. That's the only world leader we're not allowed to compare to Hitler.President Bush's speech at the Knesset two weeks ago was somewhat more nuanced than liberals' Hitler arguments. He did not simply jump up and down chanting: "Ahmadinejad is Hitler!" Instead, Bush condemned a policy of appeasement toward madmen, citing Neville Chamberlain's ill-fated talks with Adolf Hitler.Suspiciously, Bush's speech was interpreted as a direct hit on B. Hussein Obama's foreign policy -- and that's according to Obama's supporters. So to defend Obama, who -- according to his supporters -- favors appeasing madmen, liberals expanded the rule against ad Hitlerum arguments to cover any mention of the events leading to World War II. A ban on "You're like Hitler" arguments has become liberals' latest excuse to ignore history. Unless, of course, it is liberals using historical examples to support Obama's admitted policy of appeasing dangerous lunatics. It's a strange one-sided argument when they can cite Nixon going to China and Reagan meeting with Gorbachev, but we can't cite Chamberlain meeting with Hitler. There are reasons to meet with a tyrant, but none apply to Ahmadinejad. We're not looking for an imperfect ally against some other dictatorship, as Nixon was with China. And we aren't in a Mexican stand-off with a nuclear power, as Reagan was with the USSR. At least not yet. Mutually Assured Destruction was bad enough with the Evil Empire, but something you definitely want to avoid with lunatics who are willing to commit suicide in order to destroy the enemies of Islam. As with the H-word, our sole objective with Ahmadinejad is to prevent him from becoming a military power. What possible reason is there to meet with Ahmadinejad? To win a $20 bar bet as to whether or not the man actually owns a necktie? We know his position and he knows ours. He wants nuclear arms, American troops out of the Middle East and the destruction of Israel. We don't want that. (This is assuming Mike Gravel doesn't pull off a major upset this November.) We don't need him as an ally against some other more dangerous dictator because ... well, there aren't any. Does Obama imagine he will make demands of Ahmadinejad? Using what stick as leverage, pray tell? A U.S. boycott of the next Holocaust-denial conference in Tehran? The U.N. has already demanded that Iran give up its nuclear program. Ahmadinejad has ignored the U.N. and that's the end of it. We always have the ability to "talk" to Ahmadinejad if we have something to say. Bush has a telephone. If Iranian crop dusters were headed toward one of our nuclear power plants, I am quite certain that Bush would be able to reach Ahmadinejad to tell him that Iran will be flattened unless the planes retreat. If his cell phone died, Bush could just post a quick warning on the Huffington Post. Liberals view talk as an end in itself. They never think through how these talks will proceed, which is why Chamberlain ended up giving away Czechoslovakia. He didn't leave for Munich planning to do that. It is simply the inevitable result of talking with madmen without a clear and obtainable goal. Without a stick, there's only a carrot. The only explanation for liberals' hysterical zealotry in favor of Obama's proposed open-ended talks with Ahmadinejad is that they seriously imagine crazy foreign dictators will be as charmed by Obama as cable TV hosts whose legs tingle when they listen to Obama (a condition that used to be known as "sciatica"). Because, really, who better to face down a Holocaust denier with a messianic complex than the guy who is afraid of a debate moderated by Brit Hume? There is no possible result of such a meeting apart from appeasement and humiliation of the U.S. If we are prepared to talk, then we're looking for a deal. What kind of deal do you make with a madman until he is ready to surrender? Will President Obama listen respectfully as Ahmadinejad says he plans to build nuclear weapons? Will he say he'll get back to Ahmadinejad on removing all U.S. troops from the region? Will he nod his head as Ahmadinejad demands the removal of the Jewish population from the Middle East? Obama says he's prepared to have an open-ended chat with Ahmadinejad, so I guess everything is on the table. Perhaps in the spirit of compromise, Obama could agree to let Iran push only half of Israel into the sea. That would certainly constitute "change"! Obama could give one of those upbeat speeches of his, saying: As a result of my recent talks with President Ahmadinejad, some see the state of Israel as being half empty. I prefer to see it as half full. And then Obama can return and tell Americans he could no more repudiate Ahmadinejad than he could repudiate his own white grandmother. It will make Chris Matthews' leg tingle. There is a third reason to talk to dictators, in addition to seeking an ally or as part of a policy of Mutually Assured Destruction. Gen. Douglas MacArthur talked with Japanese imperial forces on Sept. 2, 1945. There was a long ceremony aboard the USS Missouri with full press coverage and a lot of talk. It was a regular international confab! It also took place after we had dropped two nukes on Japan and MacArthur was officially accepting Japan's surrender. If Obama plans to drop nukes on Ahmadinejad prior to their little chat-fest, I'm all for it. But I don't think that's what liberals have in mind.
Upper outer thigh tattoo? I have an alright sized tattoo on my back right now, the pain was...alright i suppose, but nothing i'd really like the experience again. http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e293/JstineRenee/tat001.jpg what i'm planning on getting now is diamond on my upper outer thigh (cell phone picture, sorry) right here: http://s41.photobucket.com/albums/e293/JstineRenee/?action=view&current=leg.jpg -what do you think the pain will be like? was uninvited because child? Here is the scenario: my DH's aunt bought tickets for herself, my MIL, my DD and myself to see Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular. I have a 3 month old who is strictly breastfed. i take him everywhere. I have always taken my kids everywhere; they are well behaved kids. (i have 3). Aunt found out a week before the performance that I was planning on bringing my 3 month old. If I had to leave the theater to comfort him at anytime, I was already prepared for that possibility...I've been a mom for 8 years, I'm comfortable with having to sacrifice my fun!lol! Well, auntie freaks out because she thinks i'll be too disruptive and i will be asked to leave. Aunt has no children and is in her late 40s or early 50s...she doesn't quite understand how it works so i explain that any "responsible" parent would leave the theater before any major disruption (out of respect for people around) and before any usher could reach them to escort them out. This minor disruption in comparison to grown adults coughing, cell phones, or older children not cooperating with parents...to me seems normal. Regardless of my assurance that it wouldn't be a problem...I had also called the theater and asked their opinion, I was fine with going...auntie would not budge from her reasoning and stated that the night was ruined and she wanted to sell the tickets...i told my mil to tell her that my dd is not allowed to go now that she made this into a huge production. Come to find out, auntie went anyway and took- in our place- my dh step sister and her dd. How do i react to this? interesting viewpoints...i have to add that this event is a family oriented event...and as i said in my original post:i spoke with the theater and they expressed that this event was for ALL ages...if u buy tickets to a "family" event...u should be aware that minor disruptions from children are likely...so why should i miss out? im sorry sparkle...thats just the dumbest thing i've heard...I BREASTFEED YOU DUMB@$$! Is daddy or anyone else going to whip out theit t!ts to feed a hungry infant?! I will get my son on a bottle when we are ready...in the meantime...YES, I do have a seperation anxiety...CUZ HE NEEDS TO EAT! im sorry sparkle...thats just the dumbest thing i've heard...I BREASTFEED YOU DUMB@$$! Is daddy or anyone else going to whip out theit t!ts to feed a hungry infant?! I will get my son on a bottle when we are ready...in the meantime...YES, I do have a seperation anxiety...CUZ HE NEEDS TO EAT!
REPOST: Filipino Racial Jokes 1: Fist Full of Lumpia? Filipino Racial Jokes 1: Fist Full of Lumpia? The teacher turns to the class and says, "Today, we will use these three words in a sentence. Defense, detail, and defeat. Tom, why don't you go first?" Tom, a white kid, goes first. Tom says, "Ahh, the football team's defense was detailed in the paper which caused the defeat of the other team." (The narrator's tone is slang-American when saying this sentence.) The teacher turns to Chang, a Chinese boy, and says, "How about you Chang?" Chang says, (narrator uses a Chinese accent), "the Defense Department gave details of the defeat of the guerrillas." "That's very good Chang, now what about you, Bong-Bong?" says the teacher. "Use defense, detail, and defeat in a sentence." Bong-Bong, the Filipino boy, doesn't want to do it. (Accent of narrator becomes heavily influenced by Ilocano or Tagalog accent). "Ma'am, ay don't know how to use it," says Bong-Bong. "Come on, just try," says the teacher. "Okay, ma'am," says Bong-Bong. "Ahhhh...dah black dog...jumped ober (over pronounced with "b" sound) dah fence ("dah" instead of the sound "the"), dah tail first and den, dah feet." Additional Details 5 hours ago There was this Filipino kindergarten teacher and she was teaching her class how to do the hokey-pokey. She started off by saying, "You put your right feet in, you put your right feet out, you put your right feet in...." Suddenly one of the children said, "Teacher you have to say 'foot.'" So the teacher said, "You 'foot' your right feet in, you 'foot' your right feet out....." 5 hours ago WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF Manila IS ATTACKED? By: DarkNinja After the tragedy in New York and Washington the question arises: WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF Manila IS ATTACKED? Well ... if that happens, there can be no comparison. That's because in Manila, we are much better prepared for these kind of attacks. We do not have tall buildings. The only large structure that can be seen from above is the Marcos monument in Ilocos and terrorists are welcome to target that. We all get on the job late in the morning specially government employees, so at 8:45 there won't be sufficient people to kill (well, not even at 10 am!). Fire fighters and police officers will do their utmost not to get to the spot in time. They will reach there just when everything is over, so there will be no casualties among them. The national airline would surely have fouled up the terrorists plans by being delayed again or crash before even getting to the target due to mechanical troubles. 5 hours ago A Pinoy would not have used his cell phone to call home. He would've hit the terrorist with it over the head. If a terrorist was living for one year in Manila he would've been robbed and molested so many times he would've given up and gone back to his home country a long time ago. In Manila, the terrorists would not have gotten the flight manual, they would've had to pay for it. You see... in Manila we are well prepared
Is it true or false -----? 1. Spending more than 2-3hours a day chatting or exchanging sms/messages with the same person i.e."online friend." 2. Thought Process is for most of the day preoccupied with thoughts of the "online friend". 3. Extreme concern to keep it as a secret. Going to length to try and concealing it from your friends, family and spouse. Changing all your account passwords, creating new social networks/email accounts, concealing emails, changing his/her name on the blackberry messenger, etc. 4. High fear, irritation or anger if your spouse suddenly questions you about your online/cell phone activity. 5. Restlessness if not heard from him/her after a few hours. Would u prefer to live in Canada or US? WARNIG: Skip consideration of healthcare/insurance or otherwise it would be unfair comparison. Its no doubt Canada has covered everybody through government regardless of occupation. I am tech freak and found Canada is less friendly place for people who want to stay top on technology, less than US or Europe. Example, Verizon launched LTE early in 2010 and now its in over 130 large markets. Canada just launched LTE with Rogers this summer in Toronto. US plans are expensive too but little more affordable and we only have 2 year contracts not ridiculous 3 years. For those who don't know what LTE, it is next generation of cell phone radio technology with faster speed and more capacity for subscribers (meaning less congestion and slowdowns at peak time). It is branded as 4G, HSPA+ is branded as 4G too but its more of 3.5G, its not real 4g. Also now in the US, we can watch as much netlix or hulu as we want in most markets, we do not have large incumbents with predominant ridiculous small caps like 50GB that limit you to 5 hours or less per month. (on other hand we have ridiculous costs for health care or other more essential things in life). Summarizing, there are more priorities in life than access to newest technology but the US has still edge on technology.

Do telecommunications services cost too much? I have been thinking about this for a while, as cable tv and internet prices continually rise, as does cell phone service in the form of data plans etc, netflix is announcing that they will be charging more, broadband internet service providers are putting bandwidth caps on their services reminiscent of the days when Dial up was pay per minute, and more. Of course, none of these services are forced upon anyone and it is obviously up to individuals to live within their means. At the same time, most of the corporations in these industries make use of predatory marketing techniques, require contracts, are protected by competition negating legislation, and so on. There is also the matter of these services being ubiquitous, individuals essentially being expected to have them, even if they aren't a "necessity." Is this a problem? Is this part of why the middle class is shrinking? Think of today compared with the past, where all there really was was phone service, long distance, and the price of stamps. If this isn't a problem, why not? If it is, is there really anything that can affect change? Does the value we receive justify the prices we pay? Are the cable lines in your area up to snuff? Comparisons with other countries are welcome where relevant (eg why does South Korea have drastically higher average broadband bandwidth speeds than the US?)
Price comparison for blackberry 9780? I want to buy a blackberry 9780 cell phone, where can i get the best plans at the cheapest price with out a 3-year contract (either 1-year, 2-year, or no contracts)? Any ideas? :)
Why is it whenever there are ads advertising solutions to,....? ,..either getting sleep, eating healthy, having better-looking skin, eating yogurt, eating chocolate, exercise, yoga, and anything that has to do with dental hygeinen and the whitening of the teeth, it only shows women? Is it supposed to be wrong and taboo to show men in these ads, let alone about 50% of the people in these ads being men? I find it very sexist and wrong, just like I find woman-only gyms such as Curves. What if Curves is the only nearby gym? Are there some sick group of twisted people who are somehow controlling all of this that don't want men to be as healthy, exercise as much, and hope that men die sooner and live unhealthier and less happy lives than women? If so, those damn people are wrong and deserve to get kicked in the mouth with steel-toed boot because they are so wrong very wrong. Men deserve to get to have it just as good in life as women can have it. Men deserve to get to live a life of wealth and luxury just as much as women can do so. Men deserve to get get and stay just as healthy and deserve to get just as much exercise as women can do. I have already wrote a complaint to the Frito-lay company about that extremely offensive Doritos commercial about the young man, dog, park bench, and shock collar. Why not show a woman in that commercial and show all of that same stuff happening to a young woman? If there are people who would be offended if what happened to that young man in the commercial instead happened to a woman, then there are those such as myself who are offended that they showed that stuff happening to that guy. It's wrong, it's sexist, and it's not right. And also, why in the blue hell whenever they show a comparison of something, they show the man having the worse of the two and they show the woman having the better product? Remember that Rainex commercial with the wipers? Remember that recent T-Mobile commercial with the two different cell phone plans? What if the roles were reversed? The only one that seemed totally acceptable to me was the side by side comparison on a Billy Mays infomercial advertising the Duel Saw. In it, the man was someone who has been in the construction business for MANY YEARS using the regular saw and the woman who someone who never did anything like it who used the Duel Saw, with no experience, she cut her safe before he could cut his, that was different, it showed how you can be faster than a highly experienced person in that field of work with the right tool. But everything else seems sexist and wrong to me. It offends me. Have women in those drinking and drinking commercials for a change. Have women in those clicket or ticket commercials for a change. If I knew were to write to these people or where to meet them, I would defintitely write to them or tell them to their faces how sexist and wrong it currently is and how it's time they start being more fair. And again, men deserve to have it just as good as women in life, and that included getting all the sex they want with the women they want it with, all of which all of those women should want and need it with those men JUST AS MUCH as vice versa as well as a good career, education, high-paying jobs, and financial security, and a nice job title. Afterall, when these ads only show women eating certain cereals, using household products like Febreze or Swiffer or whatever else household products, yogurt, chocolate, and yoga, and tooth whitening, they are giving the message that only women should use them and that it's not for men at all, that men shouldn't use them. And women wonder why men always expect women to clean a house, looks at who the ads are showing using the household cleaning procuts, they are sexist enough against men to never show men using them.
